Basic Admission Requirements: The entry requirement for BSc Quantity Surveying shall be success in Senior Secondary School Certificate e (SSSC) or its approved equivalent. The entry requirement is five subjects at credit level in not more than two sittings and should include English Language, Mathematics and Physics and any other two subjects from the following: Building Construction; Technical Drawing; Economics; Geography; Chemistry; Biology; and Commerce. In addition, a candidate will need to pass the University&Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) set for that purpose by the Joint Matriculation and Examination Board (JAMB). Applicants to the department of Quantity Surveying are require to obtain a minimum of 180 marks in four JAMB subject combinations: Use of English, mathematics, physics (compulsory), and any other subject from: chemistry, biology, geography, and economics. Furthermore, students are also require to sit for Post-UME test to qualify for admission.
Holders of National Diploma (ND) in Quantity Surveying, Building, Architecture, and civil engineering will be considered for direct entry into 200 level provided they:
a) have upper credit in the ND Programme
b) satisfy the general entry requirement of normal university admission. I.J.M.B.E. candidate with mathematics and physics is also accepted into 200 level provided they satisfy the general entry requirement of the University.
Special Admission into 300 Level (exemption from 100 and 200 Levels) Holders of Higher National Diploma (HND) upper credit in Quantity Surveying from any of the accredited polytechnics, may be considered for admission into 300 level. They must, in addition, satisfy the general entry requirement of the University as contained in the admission to 100 level
