About the Department The department of Architecture is a domiciled in the faculty of Earth and Environment Sciences. It was established in March 2014 by the senate of the university which found it necessary due to urgent need for environmental science courses. The University established the Faculty with the aim to develop students and staffs that are entrepreneurial, eminently employable and well connected within a research and professionally informed environment. The Architecture Department is known for its high educational standard and discipline in the pursuit of academic excellence. The central part of Architectural education is the design studio, which students learn through hands on experience in design. Therefore, the department ensures that students are committed to working independently and responsibly towards programme and course objectives.
