Admission Requirements
Normal Admission into 100 Levels:
Admission to 100 Level is by entrance examination organized by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB). Prospective candidates must, pass the SSCE or its equivalent in not less than 5 subjects in not more than two sittings. They must have a credit in English Language, Mathematics, Physics and any other two of which must be selected from, Chemistry, Geography, Agricultural Science, Building Construction, Technical Drawing. Candidates writing JAMB examination must select English Language, Mathematics, Physics and another from: Chemistry, Geography or Technical Drawing.
Direct Entry Admission into 200 Level (Exemption from 100 Level):
Candidates for Direct Entry to 200 Level should have:
(i) General Certificate of Education (GCE) Advanced Level or its equivalent with passes in not more than two sittings in English, Mathematics, Physics and one other subject taken from Geography, Physics, Chemistry, Technical Drawing; and
(ii) the general entry requirements of the University as contained in Admission to 100 Level. N.B Holders of National Diploma (ND) in Architecture will be considered for Direct Entry to 200 Level provided they:
(a) Score not less than upper credit in the ND programme and
(b) Satisfy the general entry requirement of the University as contained in Admission to 100 Level. Special Admission into 200 Level (Exemption from 100 Level): Holders of Higher National Diploma (HND) in Architecture from accredited Polytechnics with lower credit may be considered for admission into 200 Level. They must in all cases, in addition, satisfy the general entry requirement of the University as contained in Admission to 100 Level.
Transfer Cases: Candidates wishing to transfer from one school of Architecture or Department for some good reasons may be considered for absorption at the appropriate level. Any deficiency in their background should be rectified by taking appropriate courses.
